Bryony Frost at Cheltenham Festival

Bryony Frost Touted to Ride Cheltenham Festival Winner

Bryony Frost was the star of the show once again at Cheltenham Trials Day on Saturday, with bookies now touting her as 3/1 to ride a winner at the Cheltenham Festival in March.

The 22-year-old who rode Frodon on the day, produced a stunning performance to run away a comfortable winner at 8/1 in the Crest Nicholson Handicap Chase.

Her victory aboard the 6-year-old Bay Gelding has swiftly followed triumphs with Milansbar at Warwick and Black Corton at Kempton.

Carrying top weight after a string of consistent efforts, the 5lb Frost took off Frodon, trained by Paul Nicholls, certainly proved effective.

Speaking of her victory on Saturday at Cheltenham, Frost said: ‘What a beautiful feeling it is coming up on this hill on a horse like this. He’s only at the start of his career, he’s just left primary school and now he’s playing with the big boys.

‘My only worry today was that he’d be too keen but he settled and jumped, it was the perfect training performance.’

With the form Frost is showing, it is certainly no wonder why bookies are lauding her as a favourite for Cheltenham in March.
