European Champions Cup Fixtures Announced

The 2017/18 Champions Cup fixtures have been announced with some mouth-watering fixtures on offer.

Current Champions Saracens will look to defend their crown after a dramatic 28-17 win over Clermont at Murrayfield in 2017. They became only the fourth team to win back-to-back titles and will be aiming for another win in 2018. But the two sides will meet again in a highly competitive Pool 2.

2017/18 Champions Cup draw:
Pool 1: La Rochelle, UIster, Harlequins, Wasps.
Pool 2: Clermont Auvergne, Saracens, Ospreys, Northampton Saints.
Pool 3: Exeter Chiefs, Leinster, Montpellier, Glasgow Warriors.
Pool 4:Munster, Racing 92, Leicester Tigers, Castres.
Pool 5: Scarlets, Toulon, Bath, Benetton Treviso.

The current Aviv Premiership champions Exeter will face tough opposition on their road to glory with Glasgow Warriors, Montpellier and the 3x champions Leinster in Pool 3.

Another pool that catches the eye is Pool 4 as Leicester Tigers, Racing 92 and Munster have all been drawn in the same group for the second season running. Castres will be the 4th team in that group.

Saracens are the bookies favourites to win the tournament at 13/5. Clermont, Leinster & Toulon are all priced at 8/1 with Wasps the outsiders at 14/1.

Ulster and Wasps will kick off the 2017/18 Champions Cup on Friday 13th October 2017 at the Kingspan Stadium. It promises to be another year of high-quality, action-packed Champions Cup Rugby.
