This week’s UEFA Champions League round is set to sort the men from the boys. It may not entirely decide the groups but it will certainly see the weaker teams eliminated. Football hospitality guests across the continent will be hoping for more superb action. Our Champions League football hospitality packages are available in England with; Arsenal hospitality, Chelsea FC hospitality and Manchester United hospitality.
Arsenal would hate to be described in such terms yet their participation hangs by a thread. Beaten in Croatia on match day one, Arsenal welcome Dinamo Zagreb to the Emirates in a Group F fixture they both need to win to stand a chance of reaching the last 16. Football hospitality guests know that this is a crucial game.
An Arsenal victory, coupled with an Olympiacos defeat at Bayern Munich would give the north Londoners a chance to finish second – the Gunners visit Olympiacos on December 9. Dinamo need to win and hope Bayern lose at home to Olympiacos to have a chance of overtaking them for second place.
But it is highly unlikely the Germans will hand out any favours.
The Croatian champions have never qualified from the group stage in their four previous attempts – 1998/99, 1999/2000, 2011/12 and 2012/13. But it is at least the opportunity for a reunion of Arsenal’s Alexis Sánchez and Dinamo’s Ángelo Henríquez who are team-mates with Chile.
Chelsea should smash Maccabi Tel-Aviv in Israel. Chelsea beat them 4-0 at home with goals from Willian, Oscar, Diego Costa and Cesc Fàbregas and Eden Hazard even managed to miss a penalty.
The hapless Maccabi are winless and at the bottom of Group G. The prediction is a 3-0 romp for the Stamford Bridge side.
Finally, Manchester United host Dutch side PSV Eindhoven.
In the reverse fixtures, despite being the better side, United went down 2-1 with PSV coming back from conceding a goal by their former player Memphis Depay to seize a hard-fought victory with headers from Hector Moreno and Luciano Narsingh.
If the Red Devils win at Old Trafford they will secure a place in the last 16. PSV won 2-0 at home to Wolfsburg in the last round thanks to goals from Jurgen Locadia and Luuk De Jong.
Phillip Cocu’s men are in second place, one point behind United, and so will be very much up for it. An exciting clash in store for Manchester United hospitality guests at Old Trafford.
