Cheltenham Gold Cup Day: the superb climax of the Jump racing season stands as arguably the best day’s racing of the year, with a breathtaking atmosphere to match.

One of the most sought-after titles in the sport, the Timico Gold Cup, remains the highlight of this treasured racing fixture. It is a contest associated with the industry’s elite, delivering a terrific spectacle that is rivalled by few.
Legends of the sport have paved their legacy in this gruelling three and a quarter mile test, with Arkle, Best Mate and Kauto Star among the list of esteemed winners.
The Jessica Harrison-trained Sizing John at 7/1, ridden by Robbie Power, became the latest victor in the competition, in a thrilling race that saw him fend off challenges from the industrious Native River and Minella Rocco.
Adding to the feast of festival action on the final day is the exciting Triumph Hurdle. Termed as the biggest race of the season for juveniles, this contest succeeds in attracting a wonderful selection of high-class runners.
Other races of note include the Martin Pipe Hurdle and The Grand Annual Chase.
