During the 2014/15 season Manchester United FC have improved dramatically from last year, sitting comfortably in the Champions League places which has pleased all the fans.  A few people were sceptical at the appointment of Louis Van Gaal, but he has justified his position as the manager of the club and has the backing of all the supporters and more importantly the players – What did you think of his appointment ?

Over the summer Van Gaal spent in excess of £150m on the likes of Ander Herrera, Luke Shaw, Marcus Rojo, Daily Blind, Radamel Falcao and of course Champions League winner and World Cup finalist Angel Di Maria for a British transfer record of £59.7m – a true talent and the full package. The new players have hit the ground running despite some minor injuries – a real positive sign for the future of the club. With the help of the new player United managed 6 Premier League wins a row – something that hasn’t been done since the departure of Sir Alex.
Van Gaal will be targeting a good run the FA Cup, they have a fantastic chance to lift the trophy as their rivals are tied up in European competitions.

Manchester United will be shopping in the January transfer window for top-class defenders to firm up their defence – they have been linked with big names such as Mats Hummels, Raphaël Varane and Sergio Ramos. With a strong backline United will certainly be in the title race come the end of the season.
