Six Nations: England Squad Announced for Opening Fixture

England head coach Eddie Jones has today revealed his retained 25 player list ahead of England’s first NatWest 6 Nations match against Italy. The exciting opening fixture, set to be staged in Rome on Sunday 4th February, could represent a wonderful opportunity for several youngsters to enter the fold with Sam Simmonds, Alec Hepburn and Sam Underhill, in particular, likely to showcase their talents on the International stage.

It has by no means been an easy ride for Eddie Jones’ men ahead of the Six Nations opener, with injuries to high-profile players causing the head coach to make drastic changes to their training schedule in Portugal.

The England boss will be delighted, however, to welcome back Messrs Brown, Nowell and Robshaw, who have all recovered in time for selection ahead of the starting XV announcement tomorrow.
