The Australian Open Tennis Tournament out in Melbourne is really starting to heat up as we reach the semi-finals.
Andy Murray beat local favourite Nick Kyrgios in the quarter final 6-3 7-6 (7-5) 6-3 and set up a clash with Czech Tomas Berdych, who had earlier dispatched Rafael Nadal in similar fashion. The victory improved Murray’s record against Australian players to 11-0 and saw him produce 13 aces. Despite the Murray’s good form things are about to get a lot tougher in the next round…
The other semi-final features World No 1 Novak Djokovic who will be playing his 25th grand slam semi-final of his career against defending champion Stan Wawrinka in a mouth-watering tie. Djokovic has not dropped a set on the way to the semi-finals for the first time since 2008, the year he won his first title, and has only lost his serve once. Earlier in the day, Wawrinka defeated fifth seed Nishikori 6-3 6-4 7-6 (8/6) in two hours and four minutes and has dropped just one set in making the last four.
The idea of a final between the World Number 1 and Andy Murray has excited Tennis fans all across England.
But do you think Andy can go all the way and win the tournament?
