The management of Eventmasters Racing had another surprise with St Pauls Square last night at Leicester. Jockey, Rachel Kneller, and the colt parted company leaving the stalls, giving a passable impression of Kieren Fallon and the American-trained filly who did the same at Royal Ascot last week. So it can happen to the best.
After cantering round loose for about a mile and a half, he was eventually caught and appeared alright. Jamie, his trainer, confirms the horse was fine this morning, fortunately. He will be entered to run next at Windsor 7th July. The vet is still on call to geld him after, and only divine intervention will stop that from happening.
Jamie’s stable continues in form and were soon recompensed with Oratorio’s Joy running on well to win the fourth race of her career and the first for her new owners; Archie and Jen Tait.
Stable star Toast Of New York flew to the Big Apple today to run in the Belmont Derby Invitational race on the 5th July. Jamie reported that the colt’s work has been fantastic recently and he is more than satisfied he will perform to his best on his first start on turf. We want that big headline again!
