Andy Murray at Wimbledon

Murray Hopes Queens Form Continues

Andy Murray completed his Wimbledon preparations in perfect style after sealing his fourth Championship title at the Queen’s Club. Eventmasters are delighted to offer Wimbledon hospitality packages for the most prestigious event in tennis, which begins on Monday 29th June.

Murray joins an illustrious list of names including John McEnroe, Andy Roddick and Boris Becker as four-time champions at Queen’s Club, the traditional warm-up event for the Wimbledon Championships. The British number one took just 64 minutes to beat Kevin Anderson 6-3 6-4 in the Queen’s Club final on Sunday.

After winning the Aegon Championship title in 2013 Murray went on to become the first British player in 77 years to win the Wimbledon men’s singles title. If he goes on to repeat the feat in 2015 he will be just the seventh player in history to do to Queen’s/Wimbledon double.

Murray said “I need to train well the next five, six days, prepare as well as I can, it gives me that little bit of confidence going in there. I played better as the week went on and hopefully I can continue that into Wimbledon.”

The 28-year-old produced some stunning shots in his straight-sets win, beautifully mixing delicate drop shots with powerful cross-court backhands. If he replicates that level of performance he will be a dangerous opponent for anyone, and with the home crowd behind him he could win his second Wimbledon title.
