Wimbledon Prize Money Increased

Wimbledon have announced that the singles champions of this year’s tournament will receive £1.88m, an increase of £120k. The 2015 Championships promises to be a thrilling event for guests enjoying the corporate hospitality packages at Wimbledon, the world’s most famous tennis tournament.

The top players from around the world including Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray, Petra Kvitova and Serena Williams will all be in action in the tournament which starts on 29th June.

The overall prize fund on offer at the All England Club in 2015 will be £26.75m, a 7% increase on 2014’s fund of £25m. This increase maintains Wimbledon’s status as the highest-paying tournament in the sport.

The capacity crowd at SW19 is also set to increase after development work on Courts 14 and 15 was finished, bringing the ground capacity to 39,000 an increase of 500 on 2014.
