With unparalleled views of Aintree Racecourse, combined with fabulous first-class VIP service throughout, guests of Eventmasters hospitality are ensured of enjoying a racing experience unlike any other.
In 2018, the Grand National festival certainly gave visitors a marvellous spectacle to savour. Kicking off proceedings was Grand Opening Day, a fixture which traditionally features four superb Grade One contests with honourable mentions including the Betfred Bowl and the Betway Aintree Hurdle.
It was the industrious Might Bite who romped to victory in the Betfred Bowl last year, whilst superstar L’Ami Serge, trained by Nicky Henderson, claimed the Betway Aintree Hurdle ahead of the hot favourite, Supasundae.
Aintree Racecourse also plays host to one of the season’s most glamorous social occasions, Ladies Day. This fabulous fixture, synonymous with supreme style and sophistication, is one of the UK’s most popular days within the horse racing calendar.
Fineries aside, this splendid day is also renowned for featuring some of the most compelling racing events of the year. Four Grade One races, including the JLT Melling Chase and Mildmay Novices’ Chase, are the undisputed highlights of the day. The exciting Topham Chase also makes for fantastic viewing.
In 2018, these three intriguing contests were taken by Politologue (JLT Melling Chase), Terrefort (Mildmay Novices’ Chase) and Ultragold (Topham Chase).
Last but certainly not least is the illustrious Grand National Day, the blue riband event of the festival. In 2018, the revered Handicap Chase, run over a gruelling four and a quarter miles, was claimed in sublime style by Tiger Roll, trained by Gordon Elliot.
The fascinating spectacle saw the 8-year-old withstand a dramatic fight-back from fellow Pleasant Company who mustered an emphatic late charge on the final straight.
There will certainly be much to look forward to as the event once again draws near. Follow our latest Grand National News page for up to the minute updates ahead of April 2019.
