Beauty Generation: A Potential Royal Ascot Star

Hong Kong’s Horse Of The Year and emerging superstar Beauty Generation could be targeting this years prestigious Royal Ascot meeting. Horse racing enthusiasts are keen to see if this international runner will grace Ascot Racecourse and in turn establish his global leverage.

The “master miler” is swiftly becoming one of Hong Kong’s leading horses and trainer John Moore could be aiming for global success. Here’s what you need to know about this fantastic horse ahead of this years Royal Meeting.

Who is Beauty Generation?

Beauty Generation is a six year old gelding bred in New Zealand and trained in Hong Kong. Throughout his racing career, the horse has acquired a total of thirty three wins. Unsurprisingly, owner Patrick Kwok and his team are determined to make Beauty Generation one of the highest-earning horses in Hong Kong history. He notes, “he is s a very special horse […] he just keeps improving.”

What is Beauty Generation’s Racing Record?

Beauty Generation is comfortably asserting himself as the iconic horse of the racing nation. Following, a magnificent hat-trick of Group One victories in 2018, he was confirmed as the world’s top miler at the Longines World’s Best Racehorse awards, raking 6th overall.

To date, the upcoming icon has run in a total of sixty five races, winning over half of them and attaining a further fifteen seconds and thirds. After starting a 155 day break in April 2018, he came back strongly in October 2018 and has been victorious in every race since. His recent wins certainly establishing him as a fierce Group One contender.

Will Beauty Generation Run at Royal Ascot?

Trainer John Moore has not ruled out the possibility of bringing the multiple Group One champion to Royal Ascot for a chance at the Queen Anne Stakes. Despite having a trainer keen to travel, there have been reports that owner Patrick Kwok is not as keen.

However, there is still a strong case for Ascot if Beauty Generation is to establish himself on the world stage. Moore notes: “if you want to prove him on the world stage you have to travel, and the owners might look at Royal Ascot for the prestige of running at the Queen’s meeting.”

With an exceptional and authoritative triumph in his Mile victory on Hong Kong International Raceday, beating the Japanese contender Vivlos by three lengths, there are hopes that he can achieve even greater at Royal Ascot in June.

With just a few months ago until the highly anticipated event, we’re eager to see if Beauty Generation will indeed contend at Ascot.
