Henley Regatta: 9-step guide for making the most of your day

Henley Royal Regatta is one of the most popular and quintessentially British events of the summer.  It’s renowned for sophisticated fun along the banks of the River Thames, and regularly attracts some of the best performing athletes on the planet.

With the comfort of Henley Regatta hospitality and the excitement of world-class sporting mastery, you and your guests are certain to have a wonderful time at Henley-on-Thames.

The Henley Regatta 2019 dates are from Wednesday 3rd until Sunday 7th of July 2019.  Each day of the Regatta, we are hosting guests in beautiful and luxurious hospitality enclosures.

To ensure you truly make the most of you time in the stunning Oxfordshire countryside, we’ve put together a step-by-step guide to your day!

Step 1: Arrive at Henley Regatta in VIP style

With thousands of people heading to a small town, there’s no wonder the roads are often a little bit busy.  While playing Eye Spy and repeating “are we nearly there yet” will bring back childhood memories of journeys across the country, it’s not always what you want first thing in the morning.

At Henley Regatta, arriving in style means taking a helicopter transfer or river taxi directly to the hospitality venue.  For those wanting to drive to the waterfront, our hospitality facilities all have reserved car parking as standard to ensure you and your important guests can park close to the venue.

Step 2: Enjoy the morning with fantastic coffees

Every good morning starts with a quick drink of something warm, so we make sure ours do, too.

When you first arrive at our Henley Regatta hospitality facilities, we’ll greet you with hot drinks and some baked treats.  At the Boaters Enclosure, expect delicious coffees and pastries on offer.  The facility opens at eleven o’clock, giving you plenty of time to arrive at the venue in time.

Step 3: Mix, mingle and start the fun with a Champagne reception

Once you’re settled into the venue, out will come the Champagne reception.  This is a perfect opportunity for you to mix and mingle with other Henley Regatta hospitality guests.  Each package will offer something different – expect canapés at Boaters Enclosure and Pimm’s at Riverside.

Step 4: Enjoy fresh local and international produce on the banks of the Thames

Dining at Henley Regatta means multiple-course luncheons prepared by expert chefs.  Each course of your meal will feature incredible ingredients combined to mouth-watering perfection.

Our Henley Regatta Menu will offer you more information!

Step 5: Watch the world-class rowing from the comfort of a hospitality garden enclosure

The races are on all day, but stop for an hour and a half at one o’clock and start up again after lunch.  This daily break ensures that you won’t miss a moment of the action while you’re dining.

The biggest names in rowing regularly compete at Henley Royal Regatta.  It’s not uncommon to see Olympic and World Champions rowing on the waters of the Henley Reach.

Henley Regatta allows youth rowing teams to compete on the same stage as the highest level in the world.  Not only does this ensure a constant stream of exciting events, but keeps the event’s traditions alive – and maintains its classic atmosphere.

Step 6: Sit in the sun with cocktails

Our cocktail list has only just been released, and we’re already exited to sit in the summer sun with a few drinks.

Henley Regatta is the perfect place to enjoy cocktails in the sunshine.  The stunning surroundings of Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire will never cease to amaze even the locals, and make an idyllic spot to entertain guests and existing clients, and meet new ones.

Step 7: Listen to live music to keep the celebratory atmosphere going

Henley wouldn’t be the same without the live entertainment on offer.  Each year, we see various acts play at our VIP enclosures, and each as wonderful as the next.

Last year at the Boaters Enclosure we saw Jak Chantler play for guests.  His unique and beautiful style is perfect for the sophisticated-yet-fun events of Henley.

Step 8: Carry on the party in the evening with Chinawhite tickets (available with Boaters)

When you book your hospitality with Eventmasters, we can often add in Chinawhite access to help you carry on the party late into the evening.

This offering comes with the Boaters Enclosure (limited availability) – if you’d like to take advantage of this extra, speak to our hospitality team today – 020 7989 6500.

Step 9: Spend the night in a luxury hotel

Henley-on-Thames is a traditional market town surrounded by beautiful Chiltern landscapes and is centred on an ancient town centre.  The town boats two restaurants featured in the Michelin guide, and many 3- and 4-star hotels.  You’ll be spoilt for choice when deciding where to spend the night at Henley!

At Eventmasters, we pride ourselves on offering the best hospitality services at Henley Royal Regatta and many other major sporting events.  We treat everyone to the finest VIP hospitality on offer, and will always ensure you and your guests are well looked after.
