Cheltenham Festival: Your Need-to-Know Essentials for 2019
It is only a few months until Cheltenham Festival 2019 – it seems ages away but it’ll be over before we know it!
Sure, the season hasn’t even really started yet, but it’s never too early to prepare…
As soon as the new year rolls around, trainers and jockeys the country over will focus their attention on Cheltenham; suits and dresses will start to be bought in preparation, and the Jockey Club staff will be finalising details for one of the showcase events in the racing calendar.
The jumps racecourse is a favourite of fans of all varieties – from the professional pundits to the punters in the stands, there’s never a bored soul at Cheltenham. There certainly aren’t many meetings, more thrilling and prestigious than the annual Cheltenham Festival.
The coveted Gold Cup stands as the meeting’s headline draw, and it’s one of the most treasured in world horse racing. Cheltenham has always been one of the most anticipated and awaited events in the national racing calendar.
The Prestbury Park racecourse is a huge draw itself – the state-of-the-art grandstand cost the owners £45 Million just a few years ago – and is full of modern amenities and luxury suites.
