The Principality is a historic rugby venue, and it is set to make even more history when it hosts three Wales fixtures in the inaugural Nations Championship in November 2026. The action promises to be enthralling, with Steve Tandy’s Wales taking on some of the other giants of the rugby world, including the likes of Australia, Japan, and New Zealand.

After three fixtures away from the Principality against Southern Hemisphere opponents in July 2026, Wales will then be welcoming Japan in Round Four on Saturday, 7th November, followed by the visit of New Zealand a week later on Saturday, 14th November, as part of the fifth round of fixtures.
Then, Australia will visit the Principality, with Tandy’s side taking on the All Blacks on Saturday, 21st November 2026.
If Wales make it through, they will have to travel to Twickenham for the finals weekend at the end of November.

The Nations Championship is a brand new biennial international tournament taking place in the current summer (July) and autumn (November) windows.
Wales are one of 12 teams that will participate in the inaugural competition in 2026, alongside the likes of Ireland, Scotland, England, France, Italy, Australia, Argentina, New Zealand, South Africa, Japan, and Fiji. The competition involves nations from both the northern and southern hemispheres.
