The Hurlingham Club
Home to Chesterton’s Polo In The Park
The Hurlingham Club is one of two venues to host exceptional Polo throughout the summer months.
Polo first featured in England during 1869 and was established at Hurlingham in 1874, thanks primarily to Lord De L’Isle and Dudley, who was one of the Club’s first Trustees.
It originally operated as a venue for pigeon shooting but that was put a stop to in 1906. Over the years Hurlingham has seen many redevelopments and now aside from Polo, Hurlingham has croquet, tennis and fitness facilities, which includes a half-size Olympic pool.
