Principality Stadium Hospitality – Wales' Autumn Internationals 2022

Principality Stadium, the former Millennium Stadium, is the home to the Welsh national rugby union team.

Wales had a tough draw in 2021, with former titlists South Africa and flamboyant Fiji on the card. Southern hemisphere giants Australia completed the series with a visit to Principality Stadium, and what an exhilarating encounter it was.

Wayne Pivac's men swept Australia aside when they locked horns at Principality Stadium in 2021. Rhys Priestland slotted away the winning penalty and sealed Wales' victory over the Wallabies during their final Autumn Internationals fixture at home.

The atmosphere at Principality is difficult to replicate anywhere else. The venue was initially built to host the 1999 Rugby World Cup but has since diversified to include many other large-scale events, including Welsh international football matches. Principality opened in June that year, with Wales v South Africa friendly rugby fixture, out of which the Dragons emerged 29-19 winners against South Africa.

The Visit Cardiff visitor and tourism website describes Principality Stadium as one of the most impressive icons of modern Wales and there's much for fans to explore when they visit the renowned venue in Cardiff. Discover the 2012 Olympic football dressing room and experience the atmosphere before a match in the Dragon’s Lair, formally known as, Wales’ team dressing room.

Visit Cardiff adds: “Hear the roar of 74,500 fans as you walk down the players’ tunnel towards the hallowed rugby turf and lift the trophy to the skies like a sports star in the President’s Box, an area normally reserved for royalty.”

Don’t miss out on the very best of Welsh rugby at Principality as Wales does battle with southern hemisphere heavyweight Australia and New Zealand, as well as future Rugby World Cup opponents, Georgia.

Wayne Pivac's side will relish the opportunity to host New Zealand, Australia, Argentina and Georgia in the Welsh capital, and hope to put in an impressive performance in front of sell-out crowds.

WRU chief executive Steve Phillips said: “These matches, together with the 2023 Six Nations Championship, will form a vital part of Rugby World Cup preparation.

“With four Saturday afternoon kick-offs in Cardiff against top-quality opposition to look forward to this autumn, the best place to buy a ticket will, as always, be via WRU member clubs and further information about availability will be released soon.”

Principality has been in a working partnership with the WRU since 1969.

Graeme Yorston, group chief executive, declared proudly: “We’re very conscious that as a member-owned business, we try to give back to our members. The whole of Wales can share in this relationship and partnership.”

Former Welsh coach Warren Gatland noted: “A national stadium is an exceptional place for everyone involved in Welsh rugby. I’ve said it before, but the Principality stadium is simply the best in the world.

“The partnership with Principality Building Society will benefit the whole game from grassroots right through to the elite.”

Principality Stadium actively generates more than £130 million for the local economy each year.

Every Welsh rugby fan will be looking forward to the Autumn Nations Series in 2022, hoping that Wales can avenge their past losses. The best way to enjoy these fixtures is with our first-class Autumn Tests hospitality packages at Principality Stadium.

With fine dining experiences, complimentary bars and padded seating offering panoramic views of the action, rugby hospitality packages at Principality Stadium are hard to overlook.
