Old Trafford Cricket Ground is located in Greater Manchester and was first established in 1857. This makes the ground the second oldest Test Venue in England missing out on the top spot by The Oval. The first ever Ashes to be hosted in England was at Old Trafford in 1884.

Emirates Old Trafford and Cricket News

Old Trafford has always been home to Lancashire CCC.  The club have played across the county at many different venues, but has always stayed loyal to their Old Trafford ground.

Being a first-class team for over 150 years, the team have been one of the most consistent in global cricket, winning the county championship nine times.

Best known for cricket the stadium has hosted spectacular cricket fixtures over the years that has provided thrills and excitement for all to enjoy. It is most famously used throughout the summer months as the base of Lancashire County Cricket Club. The ground is also more commonly known for holding Tests year on year.

However, it’s not just cricket that can be enjoyed at Old Trafford. A wide variety of musical concerts and festivals have also been hosted at the grounds. Some standout performances come from musical icons such as Bruce Springsteen, Take That and Beyonce.

Old Trafford Redevelopment

After being dubbed as having sub-standard facilities the venue underwent a redevelopment that went on between 2003 and 2017. In total the redevelopment costs around £32m for the local economy. The new facilities now include new player and media facilities, an extension to the infamous indoor cricket training ground, large two-tier seating area and the refurbishment of the exclusive Pavillion.

The Pavillion is a stand out facility at Old Trafford. The modern appearance makes the point the perfect venue to enjoy a day at the cricket worth remembering. In total, the venue can hold up to 700 guests across a variety of different suites and rooms. The perfect destination for large functions, conferences or VIP hospitality with clients.
