Augusta National Golf Club: Home to The Masters 2021

Located in the historical city of Augusta, Georgia, the Augusta National Golf Club is considered to be one of the most pristine golf courses in the world. It’s no surprise that such an exclusive, revered club also plays host to the most prestigious tournament in all of golf each Spring.

Founded by Bobby Jones and Clifford Roberts in 1932, the intention was always to create a world class golf course. The first Masters was held two years later in 1934 and was won by Horton Smith.

The grounds have undergone considerable maintenance over the years in order to be recognised as the impeccable setting that it is today. The course is known for its rich greenery, particularly its azaleas and dogwood. In a quest for ultimate perfection, bird sounds can be heard from concealed speakers and even the ponds have previously been dyed blue!
