He gained further notoriety a couple of years later in 2013 when he contributed music to another film, ‘Aashiqui 2’, with ‘Tum Hi Ho’, which earned Singh his very first Filmfare Award, which was for the Best Male Playback Singer. He also won this award twice for ‘Binte Dil’ from the 2018 film Padmaavat and for ‘Kesariya’ from the 2022 Hindi Film ‘Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva’.

In 2015, he recorded a duet with Chinmayi Sripaada in ‘Guddu Rangeela’, a Bollywood movie that was released that year – the song was titled ‘Sooiyan’. Singh was then the lead vocalist on the soundtrack for ‘Dilwale’, which was released that same year, and he sang ‘Janam Janam’, ‘Gerua’, and the dance track ‘Tukur Tukur’. The first two were sung with Antara Mitra.

In 2016’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, Arijit Singh was the singer on the very popular track for the film, which is known by the same name. His other song for that movie, ‘Channa Mereya’, received more than 110 million views online.

A promotional video for another song, ‘Nashe Si Chadh Gayi’ from another 2016 film ‘Befikre’, released alongside this song got more than 330 million views alone on YouTube.

2020 was a busy year for Arijit Singh, with a total of no less than 10 of his songs being released in January of that year. This included the likes of ‘Shayad’, ‘Haan Tum Ho’, ‘Haan Main Galat’, ‘Khulne Do’, ‘Sab Jhulas Gaya’, ‘Dua Karo’, ‘Chal Ghar Chalen’, as well as ‘Azaadi Ke Liye’ and ‘Mere Watan for Amazon’s ‘The Forgotten Army’.

Then in 2023, he continued to compose a vast number of songs for a plethora of films that were released that year. In Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar, three of his songs were used, which were ‘Tere Pyaar Mein’, ‘O Bedardeya’, and ‘Pyaar Hota Kayi Baar Hai’.

This also includes 4 tracks for ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’, which saw him contribute four songs, which included a collaboration with Shreya Ghoshal on ‘Tum Kya Mile’.

In 2024, he contributed further tracks for some of that year’s films, including the likes of ‘Yodha’, ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’, and ‘Srikanth’.
