Bet365 Jump Finale  – Sandown Hospitality Packages 2025

Official Jump Finale Day Hospitality Packages

The history of the Jump Finale day starts all the way back in 1957 as the Whitbread Gold Cup and it was the first jump race to be commercially sponsored. Fast forward to 1995, a second chase was added on Saturday, which was the Grade Two Silver Trophy. Before a third chase was added in 1999 which was the novices’ handicap chase at Sandown.

A year later, in 2000, the Saturday card becomes the official end of the jump season for the very first time. The two day mixed meeting is maintained and the Queen Mother Celebration Chase took place named in tribute to The Queen Mother who had loved the Sandown.

In 2014, the Saturday became an all jump card for the very first time. There have been a plethora of successful horses over the years. At Sandown, there are four horses who have won the jump finale day two times. The four horses are Larbawn (1968 & 1969), Diamond Edge (1979 & 1981), Topsham Bay (1992 & 1993) and Ad Hoc (2001 & 2003).

There is one jockey in particular who is the most successful in this racing event. It is Ron Barry, who won the Jump Finale Day three times with three different horses. He won with Titus Oates in 1971, Charlie Potheen in 1973 and The Dikler in 1974.

Fulke Walwyn was extremely successful as a trainer with his horses winning the event a total of 7 times with 6 different horses: Taxidermist (1958), Mill House (1967), Charlie Potheen (1973), The Dikler (1974), Diamond Edge (1979 & 1981) and Special Cargo (1984).
