Sandown Hospitality – Bet365 Jump Finale Day – Private Boxes Package
Eventmasters are delighted to offer official Bet365 Jump Finale hospitality at Sandown Racecourse for 2026.
The history of the famous Bet365 Jump Finale Day begins in 1957, when it was known as the Whitbread Gold Cup and was the first commercially sponsored jump race. The inaugural jump race was won by Much Obliged. A second chase was added in 1995, which was the grade two Silver Trophy, which was run over two and a half miles. In 1999, a third chase was added to the programme for Saturday, which was the novices’ handicap chase, which was also run over two and a half miles.
It was just a year later, in 2000, when Jump Finale Day became the official end of the Jump season. Despite the foot and mouth epidemic in 2001, 4 major horse racing events still took place. The first was the gold trophy, a two-mile Championship Chase, a two-mile Championship Hurdle and a three-mile Distance Hurdle.
The gold trophy was won by Marborough, the Championship Chase and Hurdle were won by Edredon Bleu and Landing Light, respectively. Finally, the Distance Hurdle was won by French horse Baracouda.
In the early 2010s, or more specifically, 2014, the Saturday of the Jump Finale Day became an all-Jump Card for the very first time. The Oakley Chase and the Select Hurdle were created in the same year at Sandown.
April 2015 was historic for the sport of horse racing when the famous A P McCoy had the final ride of his illustrious career at the Bet365 Handicap Hurdle at Sandown.
Kitty Light was the shock winner of the famous and coveted Bet365 Gold Cup in 2023. The Champion horse was ridden by Jack Tudor and trained by the famous Christian Williams.
Then in 2024, it was Minella Cocooner who was the winner, with the horse, trained by Willie Mullins, being ridden to victory by Danny Mullins.
The most recent winner of this race came in April 2025, when Sean Bowen rode Resplendent Gray to victory, with Olly Murphy as trainer.
Bet365, which first extended its support to the Jump Finale Day in 2008, will also continue to sponsor the event at Sandown.
There is no better way to enjoy the 2026 Bet365 Jump Finale Day than with one of our VIP Sandown hospitality packages. Make your experience unforgettable with Eventmasters.
