Tyson Fury v Oleksandr Usyk Re-Match Hospitality Package

Boxing fans across the globe were delighted when the news broke that a heavyweight re-match between Great Britain’s Tyson Fury and Ukraine’s Oleksandr Usyk is to take place on Saturday December 21st 2024. This will be a re-match following their original unification fight in Riyadh earlier this year.

As mentioned, these two world-class boxers last went toe to toe in Saudi Arabia for their historic unification fight in May 2024. The fight got to the ninth round, and following some enthralling boxing where both battling for glory, it was Fury who was defeated as a result of points by split decision by the judges. Upon defeat, the Brit declared that a re-match should take place in October this year.

Before he took on Usyk in the original fight, Tyson Fury’s most recent fight was against Derek Chisora in a WBC World Heavyweight Championship fight at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 3rd December 2022. Fury won by technical knockout in the 10th round. Usyk’s most recent fight was against Anthony Joshua in August 2022 at Jeddah in Saudi Arabia. The bout did go the distance, reaching round 12. Usyk was declared the winner of what was an intense battle by a split decision.

British Boxer Tyson Fury is amongst the biggest names in the sport, and is seen by many as one of the best heavyweight boxers on the planet. He is the current WBC heavyweight champion, a title which he has held since his 2020 win against Deontay Wilder three years ago in 2020. This also bestowed him with a very exclusive honour – he became only the third heavyweight boxer in history to win ‘The Ring’ Magazine title. The other winners are Floyd Patterson and Muhammed Ali.

Oleksandr Usyk of Ukraine is also a top-class boxer. He became the fourth boxer after to hold the WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO titles simultaneously in 2018 before going on to be ranked as the world’s best pound-for-pound active boxer by ‘The Ring’ Magazine in August 2022. And, as the winner of the unification fight against Fury in May 2024, he is currently at the top of his game.

The two heavyweights will face each other at in what will be one of Boxing’s most anticipated fights of the calendar year.
