The Goodwood Revival Festival is held each September and covers three days of motor racing action. In Autumn 1998, motor racing returned to Goodwood for the first time since its closure of the famous Motor Circuit in 1966 – hence the name of Goodwood Revival. It is renowned for being the biggest motorsport event globally, staged in the 1940s, 50s, and 60s period dress. By staging classic races, such as the Tourist Trophy for sports cars and the Glover Trophy for Grand Prix cars, motorsports enthusiasts can step back in time to experience the ambience of motor racing similar to its heyday. Following restoration, the Circuit itself remains unchanged from its golden days.
