The artists performing in the 2025 Capital Summertime Ball are yet to be confirmed – we will update this page when they have.
Some of the biggest names in the world of music will be taking to the stage at Wembley, and they will be sure to make this event as memorable as possible for all those in attendance. With Eventmasters, you can not only witness some incredible music but also enjoy it in style while also being a part of an incredible atmosphere at one of the world’s most iconic sporting and music venues.
The history of the Summertime Ball begins back in 2009 when the inaugural event took place at the Emirates Stadium in North London. This was the only year that the event took place here before the event moved to Wembley a year later in 2010, which is where it has, of course, remained to this day. Artists such as Kelly Clarkson, Katy Perry, Leona Lewis, JLS, Alesha Dixon, The Saturdays, Blue, and Dizzee Rascal all took to the stage that year.
2010 saw the Ball become an even bigger event, with even more artists performing at Wembley. Ahead of that event, it was known that Rihanna, Cheryl Cole, Pixie Lott, Ellie Goulding, Alexandra Burke, JLS, and The Wanted were going to perform, but there were also surprise performances from the likes of Will.i.am and Florence and the Machine.
The first Summertime Ball to be aired across Capital’s network of radio stations was in 2011, meaning that this event was bigger than it had ever been. That year, JLS performed once again, and they were joined by Jennifer Lopez, Nicole Scherzinger, Katy B, Jessie J, The Wanted, and Cee Lo Green. There were also surprise appearances from Dev & The Cataracs, Lauren Bennett, and Devlin.
The 2012 event saw the return of several familiar faces, but it also saw several artists perform at the Summertime Ball for the very first time. This included Ed Sheeran, Usher, Conor Maynard, and Rita Ora—featuring alongside headline acts Katy Perry and Coldplay. 2013 saw the likes of Robbie Williams and Taylor Swift make their debut at this event, as did Olly Murs.
Murs returned for 2014, which also saw Miley Cyrus, Pharrell Williams, and David Guetta perform at this event for the very first time. 2015 saw Olly Murs perform once more, as did One Direction, Avicii, Little Mix, Meghan Trainer, Jess Glynne, Ariana Grande, and Tinie Tempah.
In the years that followed, many more iconic artists took to the Wembley Stadium stage for the annual Capital Summertime Ball, and they have included the likes of Years & Years (2016), Bruno Mars (2017), James Arthur (2018) and Sigala (2019).
This event did not take place in 2020 or 2021 due to the global pandemic, but it did return in 2022 with a plethora of world-class music being performed by iconic artists at Wembley. Such big names included Harry Styles, Anne-Marie, Nathan Dawe, Arrdee, Mabel, that year’s Eurovision Winner Sam Ryder, Becky Hill, Ed Sheeran, George Ezra and Lauren Spencer-Smith.
In 2023, another collection of famous music artists performed at that year’s Summertime Ball. This was a memorable event for all those in attendance, with the atmosphere being just as incredible as the music. The names that follow are just some of the acts that took part: the Jonas Brothers, Lewis Capaldi, Mimi Webb, Tom Grennan, Jess Glynne, RAYE, and Zara Larsson.
Last year, in 2024, it was another incredible day at Wembley for those who attended the Summertime Ball. The likes of Meghan Trainor, David Guetta, Aitch, Ella Henderson, Rudimental, Jax Jones, Perrie and Benson Boone all took to the stage with fantastic performances and the atmosphere was as sensational as it is each year.
The 2025 Capital Summertime Ball is set to be as popular and as spectacular as ever before in June 2025, with another line-up of world-class music artists set to make it an incredible and very memorable day for all those in attendance, including you and your guests!
