Jackman is well-known for his role as Wolverine in the X Men, 2017’s Logan, and 2024’s Deadpool and Wolverine, and he is also very well known for his roles in Les Miserables (2012) and The Greatest Showman (2017), where he got to show off his singing prowess, and he was a key part of so many of the most memorable songs from both of this iconic musicals.
Throughout his career, he has won 1 Golden Globe, a Grammy Award, an Emmy Award, as well as two Tony Awards. The Australian has also been nominated 17 times for a whole variety of awards over the course of his incredibly successful career in acting and singing.

Hugh Jackman is one of the biggest names in the world of movies, and he is also an acclaimed singer, having performed some of the most memorable hits from iconic musicals that he starred in, which includes ‘Les Miserables’ in 2012, as well as ‘The Greatest Showman’ in 2017. Jackman will be performing hits from these musicals, as well as from ‘The Boy From Oz’ and ‘The Music Man’. This event will see Jackman perform many of the most famous songs from these iconic musicals.
The Australian will be performing at the iconic Hyde Park on Sunday 6th July 2025 for what promises to be a memorable night with a great atmosphere.
His career began in 1995 on the Australian TV Show Correlli, which was a 10 part drama series that was his first major job in professional acting. After one season, he went on to play Gaston in the Beauty and the Beast Musical in 1996, whilst also playing Joe Gillis in Sunset Boulevard in the same year.
Jackman also starred in Summa Cabaret at the 1998 Midsumma Festival. The first time that he came to wider prominence was in that same year when he played the lead, Curly, in a production of Oklahoma! By the Royal National Theatre at the iconic West End in London, for which he earned an Olivier Award Nomination for Best Actor in a musical. He also starred in the 1999 film adaptation of the musical which was screened globally.
His big breakthrough came when he played the iconic role of Wolverine for the first time in the 2000 Film ‘X-Men’ alongside the likes of Patrick Stewart, James Marsden, Famke Janssen, and Ian McKellen.
Hugh Jackman has since gone on to play this iconic character for more than 20 years, starring as Wolverine in X2 (2003), X-Men: The Last Stand (2006), X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009), X-Men: First Class (2011), The Wolverine (2013), X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014), X-Men: Apocalypse (2016), Logan (2017), and in Deadpool & Wolverine in 2024.
He did hold the Guinness World Record for the longest career as a live-action Marvel Superhero, but this has since been broken again by Wesley Snipes as ‘Blade’ following his appearance alongside Jackman in Deadpool & Wolverine.
Rewind to 2012, and Hugh Jackman was starring in the hit musical ‘Les Miserables’, and for his role as Jean Valjean, for which he won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy in January 2013, and he was also nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor for the very first time in his illustrious career.
As Valjean, Jackman performed several songs, which were ‘Look Down’, ‘Valjean’s Soliloquy’, ‘At The End of the Day’, ‘The Runaway Cart’, ‘Fantine’s Arrest’, ‘Fantine’s Death’, ‘The Confrontation’, ‘The Well Scene’, ‘The Bargain’, ‘The Thenardier Waltz of Treachery’, ‘Suddenly’, ‘The Convent’, ‘The Robbery’, ‘In My Life’, ‘The Attack on Rue Plumet’, ‘One Day More’, ‘Night of Anguish’, ‘Bring Him Home’, ‘The Sewers’, ‘A Heart Full of Love (Reprise)’, ‘Valjean’s Confession’, ‘Valjean’s Death’, and ‘Do You Hear the People Sing? Reprise/Epilogue’.
Fast forward to 2017, Hugh Jackman starred as P.T. Barnum in ‘The Greatest Showman’, where he formed a key part in the performance of some of the hit musical’s greatest and standout songs. This included ‘The Greatest Show (Twice)’, ‘A Million Dreams’, ‘Come Alive’, ‘The Other Side’, and ‘From Now On’.
In 2019, Jackman starred in his first ever World Tour, which was called ‘The Man. The Music. The Show.’, which saw him perform the hit songs from ‘The Greatest Showman: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack’, as well as a number of Broadway and Hollywood’s most famous musical numbers. This particular World Tour was made up of no less than 88 shows that took place in the continents of North America, Europe, and Oceania.
A return to Broadway beckoned for Hugh Jackman in February 2022, following which he was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical for the second time in his career. Deadpool & Wolverine, which saw him return to the role of Wolverine for the first time in many years took place in July 2024, where he starred alongside Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool.
On Spotify, songs that feature Hugh Jackman collectively enjoy more than 6.62 million listeners per month, and it is the Greatest Showman’s ‘The Greatest Show’ with the most of any single song with more than 597,700 listens per month. This is closely followed by ‘A Million Dreams’ and ‘The Other Side’ on more than 595,000 and 467,000 respectively.
