India were victorious in the most recent Test Match Series between these two nations from 25th January to 11th March 2024 in a 4 – 1 defeat for England. They did win the first test by a margin of 28 runs.

Overall, England and India have faced each other on a total of 136 occasions in Test Cricket so far, and it is England who has the superior record of no less than 51 victories to date, whilst, at the time of writing, India has 35 wins to their name. There have been a total of 50 draws between them overall.
