The most recent One Day International Series between England and the West Indies was back in December 2023. The first ODI was won by the West Indies by 4 wickets, winning by the same margin in the third ODI to win the series 2 – 1 overall. England did win the second One Day International by 6 wickets overall.

England’s most recent ODI Series win directly against the West Indies was back in September 2017. They won the first ODI by 7 wickets, before also going on to emerge victorious in the third ODI by 124 runs. England were also able to win the final two ODIs by 6 and 9 wickets respectively in the end.

It was at the beginning of the 1970s, more specifically in 1973, when England and the West Indies faced each other in an ODI for the very first time – it was a win for the West Indies on this occasion.

Overall, England and the West Indies have met 105 times so far in One Day International Cricket, and it is England who currently has the superior record of 53 victories compared with the West Indies’ record of 46 to date.
