The Emirates Stadium is set to host a match between Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Nuno Espirito Santo’s Nottingham Forest in the 2024/25 Premier League season in North London. Three points against Forest will enhance the Gunners’ chances of finally securing a fourth Premier League title, and a 14th English Top Flight title in all.

Arsenal are set to be in an even stronger in terms of the quality of their squad coming into the season, and they hope to not only be Manchester City’s closest title challengers, but also to end the Cityzens’ reign of dominance in England’s top flight.

Mikel Arteta was appointed as Head Coach in December 2019, succeeding fellow Spaniard Unai Emery in the Gunners’ hot seat. Two consecutive second place finishes in the 2022/23 and 2023/24 Premier League seasons has meant that they are regularly challenging for the title. And, they’ll look to take the next step after missing out by just 2 points last season.

Silverware has also come the way of Arsenal during Arteta’s reign so far. He led them to a record 14th FA Cup triumph following a 2 – 1 win against West London rivals Chelsea at Wembley. The club has also won two FA Community Shields to boot.

Moving on to Nottingham Forest, Head Coach Nuno Espirito Santo, formerly of Wolves and Spurs, has been in charge of the Reds since his appointment on 20th December 2023. After succeeding Steve Cooper, he led them to Premier League survival come the end of the 2023/24 season, with the club ending up with a 17th place finish after accumulating 32 points from their 38 matches. They were 6 points clear of the drop in the end following a 2 – 1 away win against relegated Burnley at Turf Moor on the final day.

Arsenal and Nottingham Forest have faced each other competitively on a total of 105 occasions to date, with the Gunners having a superior record of 54 wins compared to 29 for Forest. There have been a total of 22 draws as of the time of writing.
