Bournemouth, who are currently led by their Spanish Head Coach Andoni Iraola, are going to be taking on Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea side at the historic Vitality Stadium during the 2025/26 Premier League season. The game itself is going to be played on the afternoon of Saturday, 6th December 2025. Suppose they do come away with all three points in the end. In that case, the Cherries will be making a statement to the rest of the league, whilst also taking a step closer to realising their ambitions for the current campaign, which are to qualify for European Football for the very first time.

The Vitality Stadium Hospitality Dress Code
For hospitality at Bournemouth’s Vitality Stadium, the dress code is generally smart casual. That usually means:
-
Men: Collared shirts, smart trousers or chinos, optional blazer; avoid sportswear, ripped jeans, or trainers.
-
Women: Dresses, skirts, smart trousers or blouses; again, avoid casual sportswear.
-
General: No football jerseys, hoodies, or caps.
Hospitality areas aim for a polished but relaxed environment—so you don’t need a suit unless you want to go extra formal.
Andoni Iraola’s Bournemouth are going to be taking on a Chelsea side who are currently led by their Italian Head Coach Enzo Maresca at the iconic Vitality Stadium on the South Coast on the afternoon of Saturday 6th December 2025 during the 2025/26 Premier League season.
Should the Cherries go on to seal what would very much be a statement result, the three crucial points that they would collect as a result would indeed give them a boost in realising their ambitions for the current campaign. These ambitions see the South Coast club targeting qualification for a European competition for the very first time in the extraordinary club’s history, which they can do with a top seven finish.
The current Head Coach of Bournemouth is, of course, the aforementioned Andoni Iraola, and he has been in charge of the club ever since he was appointed boss by the South Coast side back on Monday, 19th June 2023. He replaced his predecessor, Gary O’Neil, in the dugout at the Vitality Stadium, with Iraola set for his third full season in charge of Bournemouth.
The 2023/24 campaign was his first full season in charge of the Cherries, with him guiding the team to what was a superb season for the club. They ended up with what was a comfortable 12th place finish with 48 points, which was actually their record points total in the English Top Flight at the time. They avoided relegation by a margin of 12 points in the end.
Then, in the most recent top flight season in England, the 2024/25 campaign saw Andoni Iraola lead his side to a very creditable 9th place finish, with them having accumulated a total of no less than 56 points from their 38 games in total in the Premier League. They had been battling for European Football for the first time ever throughout the campaign, but they did end up missing out narrowly, by the margin of as many as 9 points in the end.
There were a number of standout results for Bournemouth last season, one of which was their incredible 2 – 1 win against Pep Guardiola and his Manchester City side at home at the historic Vitality Stadium back on Saturday, 2nd November 2024. It was the likes of Antoine Semenyo (9’) and Evanilson (64’) who both scored the goals for the home side that day, whilst the hosts did indeed concede a goal that day through a strike late on in the second half in this game from City’s Croatian defender Josko Gvardiol (82’).
Moving on to Chelsea, their current Head Coach is, of course, Enzo Maresca, who has been in charge of the club ever since he was chosen as the successor to Mauricio Pochettino in the Stamford Bridge dugout, with his appointment being confirmed by the Blues back on Monday, 3rd June 2024.
The 2024/25 campaign was his first full season in charge of the Blues, leading the West London Club to some silverware in the form of the 2025 UEFA Conference League title, which was won following an emphatic 4 – 1 win over Spanish outfit Real Betis in Poland. They also won the 2025 Club World Cup, beating 2025 UEFA Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain 2 – 0 at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, in the United States.
In the Premier League, Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea secured a return to the highly prestigious UEFA Champions League for the 2025/26 season by finishing in 4th place with 69 points obtained from their 38 games in the end.
The last time that Bournemouth faced Chelsea in the Premier League was back on Tuesday, 14th January 2025 at Stamford Bridge, where the two sides drew 2 – 2 in the heart of West London in the English Capital. Bournemouth got what was a creditable point, with the Cherries scoring their goals through the likes of Justin Kluivert (50’ – Penalty) and Antoine Semenyo (68’), whilst it was Cole Palmer (13’) and Reece James (90+5’) who scored the goals for the hosts that day, Chelsea.
Overall, Bournemouth and Chelsea have met competitively in all competitions on no less than 23 occasions, and it is the Blues who currently have the superior record in this fixture, with a total of 15 wins so far, compared with the 5 that the Cherries have got against their West London counterparts. There have always been as many as 3 draws between these two teams to date, as of the time of writing.
