Everton v Fulham
Carabao Cup Quarter Final
Fixture Date – Tuesday 19th December 2023

Goodison Park, Merseyside
Sean Dyche’s Everton have reached their first Carabao Quarter Final since 2021, where they will face Fulham at Goodison Park. The furthest they have got is the final back in the 1983/84 season, where they narrowly lost 1 – 0 against Merseyside rivals Liverpool.

Everton will welcome fellow Premier League club Fulham to Goodison Park for their 2023/24 Carabao Cup Quarter Final tie this December. Both clubs seek to win their first-ever League Cup title this season, and a win will, of course, enhance the chances of doing just that.
The Toffees entered this season’s Carabao Cup competition at the second round stage, where they made the trip to the Eco-Power Stadium to face League Two club Doncaster Rovers. Summer signings Beto (73’) and Arnaut Danjuma (88’) were on the scoresheet that day. Joe Ironside scored the hosts’ only goal of the game (44’).
Unai Emery’s Aston Villa welcomed Everton to Villa Park in the Third Round of the Carabao Cup. Dyche’s side triumphed 2 – 1 in B6 thanks to goals from James Garner (15’) and Dominic Calvert-Lewin (50’). Boubacar Kamara scored the only goal for the home side that day (83’).
In the fourth round, Vincent Kompany’s newly promoted Burnley side were their opponents at Goodison Park. And, in the end, it was a very comfortable 3 – 0 win for the home team, with James Tarkowski (13’), Amadou Onana (53’) and Ashley Young (90+2’) all finding the back of the Clarets’ net for the Toffees.
Neither Everton or Fulham have ever won this competition. The closest Everton has ever come to lifting the League Cup came in the 1984 Final, where they lost narrowly 1 – 0 against Merseyside rivals Liverpool in a replay at Manchester City’s Maine Road. Graeme Souness scored the only goal of the game early in the first half (21’).
Over the years, Everton and Fulham have played each other 68 times, including the first-ever competitive fixture between them that took place on 9th January 1926. It is the Toffees with a superior record of 31 wins compared to the Cottagers’ 23. There have been 14 draws between these two Premier League clubs as of the time of writing.
They both most recently met on 12th August 2023, where Fulham were 1 – 0 winners in the Premier League at Goodison Park. As for the League Cup, their only meeting in this competition came on 24th September 2013, where Fulham won 2 – 1 at Craven Cottage.
There is no better way to watch Everton as they seek a place in the Semi-Final of the Carabao Cup at Goodison Park than with an Eventmasters Hospitality Package. Book now to avoid disappointment.
