A victory in this game would be crucial in what is one of the standout fixtures of the campaign for the Lilywhites.

The two teams faced each other in the 2025 UEFA Europa League Final, where Spurs were able to emerge victorious in Bilbao, Spain at the famous San Mames Stadium. The atmosphere for this game is set to be spectacular with a competitive game to boot. All three points would help the North London outfit in their pursuit of European Football once again.

After two years in charge, former Tottenham Hotspur Head Coach Ange Postecoglou left the club shortly after last season (2024/25) had concluded. It was a campaign most famous for the aforementioned triumph in Bilbao in the Europa League Final, which was a campaign that began back in the League Phase of the competition.

At this stage of the tournament, the North London side was able to finish within the top eight of the table, which meant that they had successfully secured automatic passage into the knockout stages of the 2024/25 UEFA Europa League. This was also a 1 – 0 victory, with the winning goal on this occasion being scored by James Maddison in the early stages of the first half (13’).
