At the London Stadium, the dress code is smart casual. We advise our guests to follow this guide of what type of clothes to wear on the day. Please be aware that these rules do not apply to those under the age of 12.

• Tracksuits are not permitted.
• Only home football shirts are permitted; if our guests arrive in ‘away’ football shirts, we have the right to refuse entry.
• Jeans and trainers are allowed.

We would like to make our guests aware that oversized bags are prohibited when on arrival to the stadium, and small clutch purses are allowed.

Julen Lopetegui’s West Ham United are set to welcome a newly promoted Ipswich Town side led by their Head Coach Kieran McKenna to the London Stadium in the 2024/25 Premier League season. With a return to European Football in their sights, a victory against the Tractor Boys for the Hammers would bring them closer to doing just that.

It was back on 23rd May 2024 that Julen Lopetegui was appointed as David Moyes’ successor at the East London Club, and he has extensive experience with the likes of Real Madrid, Sevilla, Spain, and Wolves on his managerial CV. Lopetegui’s predecessor, David Moyes, also tasted European Glory when he led his West Ham side to the 2023 UEFA Europa Conference League title after goals from Said Benrahma (62’ – Penalty) and Jarrod Bowen (90’) were enough to collect a 2 – 1 victory against Italy’s Fiorentina in Prague. The last time West Ham United and Ipswich Town faced each other in a Premier League fixture with the Hammers as the host was on 30th March 2002 at Upton Park. This was a 3 – 1 win, where goals from Steve Lomas (35’), Paolo Di Canio (73’) and Jermain Defoe (85’) secured them a deserved win in East London that day. Marcus Bent was the Tractor Boys’ sole goal scorer against the Hammers (70’).

These two clubs have played each other in all competitions 68 times, and the Hammers have a superior record of 27 victories compared to Ipswich’s 21. As of the time of writing, there have been 20 draws between these two teams so far.
