The London Stadium Hospitality Dress Code

At the London Stadium, the dress code is smart casual. We advise our guests to follow this guide of what type of clothes to wear on the day. Please be aware that these rules do not apply to those under the age of 12.

• Tracksuits are not permitted.
• Only home football shirts are permitted; if our guests arrive in ‘away’ football shirts, we have the right to refuse entry.
• Jeans and trainers are allowed.

We would like to make our guests aware that oversized bags are prohibited when on arrival to the stadium, and small clutch purses are allowed.

You could potentially be denied entry if the dress code is not met.

Graham Potter’s West Ham United team will take on newly promoted Southampton, led by their Head Coach Ivan Juric, at the London Stadium in the 2024/25 Premier League season. With a strong mid table finish being targeted at the end of the current campaign, a victory against the Saints would prove crucial in their efforts and chances of doing just that.

Once Julen Lopetegui had officially left the club, it was Graham Potter who was unveiled officially as the Spaniard’s successor at the Premier League club back on Thursday 9th January 2025.

Potter’s successful managerial career in senior football began with Ostersund in Sweden, who he enjoyed great success between 2011 and 2018, in what was a tremendous 7 year spell for him there. During this time, he guided the club to three promotions, taking them from the fourth tier all the way to the top flight of Swedish Football – the Allsvenskan.

Not only that, he led them to an extraordinary 4 – 1 victory in the Svenska Cupen, which is the Swedish equivalent of the English FA Cup the 2016/17 campaign. This saw them secure qualification for the 2017/18 UEFA Europa League. They would go on to be eliminated over two legs by Arsenal in the Round of 32.

After a successful stint with Swansea City in the EFL Championship from 2018 to 2019, Potter was appointed by Premier League Club Brighton following the departure of Chris Hughton. In his spell with the Seagulls between 2019 and 2022, he led them to a first ever victory against Manchester United in the entire history of the club, whilst also battling for a place in European Football on what was a consistent basis. Potter also led them to their best ever Premier League points total of 51 points to secure a 9th place finish for the Seagulls – the previous record had been beaten by 10 points.

Then followed a short stint at Chelsea, taking charge of the West London Club from 8th September 2022 to 2nd April 2023.

Moving on to Southampton, their current Head Coach, Ivan Juric, has been in charge ever since he took charge following the dismissal of Russell Martin back on Saturday 21st December 2024. The Croatian will be looking to lead the Saints to safety in the Premier League this season, and a win here against the Hammers would a significant step towards doing so.

Juric has had previous spells in charge of the likes of Mantova (2014 – 2015), Crotone (2015 – 2016), Genoa (2016 – 2017, 2017 & 2018), Hellas Verona (2019 – 2021), Torino (2021 – 2024), and AS Roma (2024).

His predecessor Russell Martin had a successful spell with Swansea City before taking over at the Saints on 21 June 2023, just before the start of their 2023/24 EFL Championship campaign.

The former Norwich City player led the South Coast Club to an immediate return to the Premier League after a goal from Adam Armstrong (24’) sealed a 1 – 0 win over Leeds United in the Promotion Play-Off Final at Wembley following a 4th-place finish in the league.

These two clubs have played each other in all competitions 183 times, and the Hammers have a superior record of 82 victories compared to the Saints’ record of 52 wins to date. As of the time of writing, there have been 49 draws between these two teams so far.
