Vitor Pereira’s Wolves side is going to be welcoming an Everton team, who are currently led by their Scottish Head Coach David Moyes, at the iconic and historic Molineux during the 2025/26 Premier League season.
Victory here in this particular game for Wolverhampton Wanderers would be crucial, as they would be taking a step closer to realising their ambitions for the current campaign, which is to secure a mid table finish in the English Top Flight. They could also potentially be looking to end the season in the top half of the table once all 38 games have been played.
The incumbent Head Coach of Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club is, of course, the aforementioned Vitor Pereira, who has been in charge ever since the Portuguese boss was appointed back on Thursday 19th December 2024.
The 2025/26 Premier League campaign will be his first full season in charge of the club, and in the first months of his reign at the end of last term, he was looking to lead his new side away from the danger of the relegation zone and climb up the table. They were successful in doing so, with the Midlands outfit securing what was a 16th place finish as well as a total of 42 points that saw them avoid the drop by a margin of no less than 17 points.
During this time, there were some very memorable results for the Old Gold, with one of these wins in particular being against their North London counterparts, Spurs, who they faced at Molineux in mid April 2025. It was a comfortable and deserved 4 – 2 triumph in the end for the hosts, who were able to score their goals through the likes of Rayan Ait-Nouri (2’), Jorgen Strand Larsen (64’), and Matheus Cunha (86’), whilst there was also an own goal from Spurs defender Djed Spence at the end of the first half (38’).
There were goals from forwards Mathys Tel (59’) and Richarlison (85’) for Spurs in the second half, but it was, of course, Wolves who were indeed victorious in the end.
Moving on to Everton, their Scottish Head Coach David Moyes has been in charge ever since he was appointed for his second spell at the Merseyside Club back on Saturday 11th January 2025. He succeeded Sean Dyche in the Toffees dugout.
Moyes’ initial months back at the club saw him tasked with steering them away from the relegation zone and to climb up the Premier League table. He and his Everton side were able to do so, with the Toffees ending the 2024/25 campaign in 13th place, having accumulated as many as 48 points from their 38 games overall. They had successfully avoided relegation by a margin of no less than 23 points in the end.
The 2025/26 Premier League campaign will be his first full season back at the club since his return in January 2025.
The most recent competitive fixture between these two clubs in all competitions was played in the Premier League on Saturday, 8th March 2025, at Molineux. The game ended in what was a 1 – 1 stalemate, with the goals in this draw being scored by the likes of Marshall Munetsi (40’) and Jack Harrison (33’) late on in the first half for their respective clubs.
Overall, Wolves and Everton have met competitively in all competitions on at least 144 occasions. The Toffees currently hold the superior record, with 64 victories in this fixture, while Wolves have 51 wins against their Merseyside counterparts over the years. There have also been 29 draws in total between these teams to date, as of the time of writing.
