Wolves are set to welcome a Spurs side, who are currently led by their Danish Head Coach Thomas Frank, to the iconic and historic Molineux Stadium during the 2025/26 Premier League season.
A win in this particular game for the Old Gold would see the West Midlands outfit claim some fresh momentum in their season ahead of the next few games in all competitions, and it would also see them take a step closer to realising their ambitions for the current campaign. They are looking to finish above the relegation, avoiding the drop whilst also potentially pushing for a spot in mid table by the time that the season comes to a close in May 2026.
The Head Coach of Wolverhampton Wanderers was, of course, the aforementioned Vitor Pereira. He had been in charge at the club ever since there was confirmation of his appointment by the club back on Thursday 19th December 2024. His arrival saw him succeed his English counterpart, Gary O’Neil, in the dugout at Molineux.
During his first few months in charge of the West Midlands side, Pereira was tasked with guiding them away from the danger of the relegation zone, whilst also pushing as high up the table as they possibly could. In the end, they were able to finish in 16th place, having accumulated a total of 42 points from their 38 games, which saw them avoid the drop by a significant margin of 17 points.
The 2025/26 Premier League campaign was much anticipated, and this was to be Vitor Pereira’s first full season in charge of the Old Gold. However, after his side experienced a poor start to the current season, he was dismissed after ten matches had been played in the Premier League back on Sunday 2nd November 2025.
In the meantime, and ahead of the appointment of Pereira’s permanent successor at the Midlands Club, Under 21s Head Coach James Collins and Under 18s Head Coach Richard Walker have been placed in temporary charge.
Moving on to Spurs, their Danish Head Coach Thomas Frank has been in charge of the Lilywhites ever since he was named as Ange Postecoglou’s successor at Tottenham Hotspur back on Thursday 12th June 2025.
In the 2024/25 season, they were under the stewardship of Postecoglou. By the time that their latest Premier League campaign had come to a close, they had ended up having to settle for what was a 17th place finish in the end, after they were able to accumulate a total of 38 points from the 38 games.
They were also able to get to the final of the 2024/25 UEFA Europa League in Bilbao, Spain, and it was a 1 – 0 victory for the Lilywhites against fellow Premier League club Manchester United. The winning goal of this game was scored by Tottenham’s Welsh international forward Brennan Johnson towards the end of the first half of this game (42’).
The last time that these two clubs came face to face in a competitive game in all competitions was in a Premier League game where Wolves were to come away with a point after a 1 – 1 draw at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium back on Saturday 27th September 2025, where Joao Palhinha (90+4′) and Santiago Bueno (54′) were able to score the goals for their respective clubs in the second half in North London.
Overall, Wolves and Spurs have met competitively in all competitions on no less than 109 occasions, and it is Tottenham who do currently have the superior record of as many as 52 victories in this fixture compared with the Old Gold, who themselves have 34 wins against their North London counterparts. There have also been 23 draws between these two teams to date, as of the time of writing.
