Rob Edwards’ Wolverhampton Wanderers are set to welcome Tottenham Hotspur to the iconic and historic Molineux Stadium during the 2025/26 Premier League season.
A win in this particular game for the Old Gold would provide the West Midlands outfit with valuable momentum ahead of the run-in towards the end of the Premier League campaign. It would also move them a step closer to achieving their ambition, with Wolves aiming to avoid relegation.
The season began under the management of Vitor Pereira, who had taken charge back in December 2024 following the departure of Gary O’Neil. During his initial spell, Pereira was tasked with guiding Wolves away from the relegation zone, ultimately leading them to a 16th-place finish with 42 points, comfortably avoiding the drop.
The 2025/26 campaign was set to be his first full season in charge; however, after a difficult start, Pereira was dismissed in November 2025 after ten league matches. Shortly after, the club confirmed the return of Rob Edwards on Wednesday, 12th November 2025. Having previously held roles at the club, Edwards returned to Molineux following his departure from Middlesbrough and has since been tasked with stabilising the team’s form.
Edwards has gained valuable experience throughout his managerial career, including spells at clubs such as AFC Telford United, Forest Green Rovers, Watford, and Luton Town, where he famously led them to Premier League promotion during the 2022/23 season.
Turning to Tottenham Hotspur, the North London club has experienced a period of significant managerial change. Ange Postecoglou departed following the 2024/25 season and was succeeded by Thomas Frank in June 2025. However, a run of poor results saw Frank dismissed in February 2026, with Spurs sitting 16th in the Premier League at the time.
Igor Tudor was appointed shortly after on an interim basis, but his spell in charge lasted just 44 days. Spurs have since appointed Roberto De Zerbi on a five-year deal, with the Italian now leading the club into a new era as they look to improve their league position and build momentum towards the end of the season.
The last time that these two clubs came face to face in a competitive game in all competitions was in a Premier League game where Wolves were to come away with a point after a 1 – 1 draw at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium back on Saturday 27th September 2025, where Joao Palhinha (90+4′) and Santiago Bueno (54′) were able to score the goals for their respective clubs in the second half in North London.
Overall, Wolves and Spurs have met competitively in all competitions on no fewer than 109 occasions, and it is Tottenham who currently has the superior record, with 52 victories in this fixture compared with the Old Gold, who have 34 wins against their North London counterparts. There have also been 23 draws between these two teams to date, as of the time of writing.
