The eyes of the world of golf will be on the famous Wentworth Golf Club this week, with the 2025 BMW PGA Championship set to begin this week, with the enthralling action coming to a close on Sunday, 14th September, where the latest winner of this highly prestigious tournament will be crowned.
The reigning Champion is, of course, Billy Horschel, who defeated runners-up Thriston Lawrence and Rory McIlroy via play-off in what had been a pulsating few days of action. One of the players looking to challenge him for the title at the 2025 BMW PGA Championship is, of course, the aforementioned Rory McIlroy. After he eagled the 18th hole to finish on 17 under par to complete a sensational comeback, he then went on to secure his win with a birdie at the third extra hole to get the better of his Swedish counterpart.
Rory is a previous winner of this tournament, having come out on top back in 2014 when he defeated runner-up Shane Lowry by just one stroke in the end. He will be looking to add to his vast collection of trophies at Wentworth this week.

Despite his extensive success, Scheffler will be looking to win this title for the very first time in his career this week.
