The first NFL regular season matches at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium were played on 6th and 13th October 2019. The first of the two games was played between the Chicago Bears and the Oakland Raiders, and following an enthralling match, it was to be the Raiders who would come away with a 24 – 21 victory. The other game saw the Carolina Panthers take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and in the end, the Panthers secured a 37 – 26 win.

The last match at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium occurred on 8th October 2023, with the Jacksonville Jaguars facing the Buffalo Bills. The Jaguars won a tight and competitive game 25 – 20. A game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Tennessee Titans followed on 15th October, resulting in a 24 – 16 success for the Ravens.

The Bears have taken part on two previous occasions. The first was on 23^rd October 2011 when they were 24 – 18 winners at Wembley Stadium against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They then went on to return to the NFL London Games in October 2019 when they narrowly lost 21 – 24 to the Oakland Raiders.

The Chicago Bears have played in every NFL season, and they have won the NFL Championship on 9 occasions and the Super Bowl in 1986, when they beat the New England Patriots 46 – 10.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are returning to London for the second successive year. Overall, they have taken part in the NFL London Games on 10 occasions, with these appearances coming in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022 and most recently in 2023. They have earnt some particularly noteworthy results in London over the years, and these include a 44 – 7 win over the Baltimore Ravens (2017), a 23 – 20 win over the Miami Dolphins (2021) and a 23 – 7 victory over the Atlanta Falcons in 2023.
