The Jacksonville Jaguars, the Chicago Bears, the Minnesota Vikings, the New York Jets and the New England Patriots are the teams that are going to be participating in this year’s London Games.

The Patriots will play their matches at the iconic Wembley Stadium, whilst the Bears, the Vikings and the Jets will be playing their games at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in North London. The Jacksonville Jaguars will be playing at both venues, and they will be taking on the New England Patriots under that famous Wembley arch on Sunday 20th October 2024.

2024 will see the iconic Wembley Stadium host NFL matches for the sixteenth time, including the first-ever NFL London match on 28th October 2007. This inaugural match saw the New York Giants secure a 13 – 10 victory against the Miami Dolphins.

Only one NFL match would be played under the famous arch for several years until this changed in 2013. That year was the first time Wembley hosted two NFL matches in one regular season – the Minnesota Vikings defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers, whilst the San Francisco 49ers were emphatic 42 – 10 winners against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

No less than three NFL regular season matches were played at Wembley in 2014. There was a particularly emphatic victory in the NFL at Wembley that year when the Kansas City Chiefs showed how ruthless they could be when they emerged as 45 – 10 winners against the Detroit Lions.

If there was one year of the NFL London Games that saw numerous emphatic victories, then that would be 2017. Two games took place under the arch at Wembley that year, with the Baltimore Ravens taking on the Jacksonville Jaguars and the New Orleans Saints coming face-to-face with the Miami Dolphins.

The Jaguars were 44 – 7 winners against the Ravens, whilst the Saints were able to prevent the Dolphins from getting on the scoresheet at all, beating them 20 – 0.

Wembley has continued hosting NFL regular season matches in the years since, except for 2020, when no matches occurred due to the global pandemic. There was a prompt return of NFL action to Wembley in 2021, where the Atlanta Falcons were 27 – 20 winners against the New York Jets, and the Jacksonville Jaguars were 23 – 20 victors against the Miami Dolphins.

The most recent NFL match to be hosted under the iconic Wembley Arch took place on 1st October 2023, and it was a match between the Atlanta Falcons and the Jacksonville Jaguars. In the end, the Jaguars ended the game as comfortable 23 – 7 winners.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have vast experience in playing NFL Matches in London, having done so on 10 previous occasions, which took place in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022 and most recently in 2023. They have picked up some particularly eye catching results in NFL London matches in years gone by, and this includes an emphatic 44 – 7 victory against the Baltimore Ravens on 24th September 2017. There was a 84,592 fans in attendance that day.

As for the New England Patriots, they have participated in the NFL London Games on just two occasions before their upcoming games in 2024. Their first games in London was in 2009, when they beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 35 – 7. The most recent NFL Match that the Patriots have played in London took place on 28th October 2012, when they were emphatic 45 – 7 winners against the St. Louis Rams in-front of an 84,004 strong crowd at Wembley Stadium.
