Baltimore Ravens vs Tennessee Titans Preview

The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is set to host the final NFL London game this season on Sunday

The Baltimore Ravens and the Tennessee Titans are set to go head to head at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the final NFL London game this season. This will also be the first time that these two sides will play against each other in the English capital in 2023/24. With a win, the Ravens will look to climb to the summit of the AFC North table, whilst a victory for the Titans could lift them off the bottom of the AFC South standings.

Both teams will also look to bounce back from defeats in their most recent regular season matches.

Out of these two teams, the Baltimore Ravens have had the better start to the season. John Harbaugh’s side began with an emphatic 25 – 9 victory against the Houston Texans at the M&T Bank Stadium. Another win followed, this time against the Cincinnati Bengals, who they beat 24 – 27 in a tight and tense contest at the Paul Brown Stadium. They were then defeated 19 – 22 at home by the Indianapolis Colts before beating the Cleveland Browns 3 – 28.

The Baltimore Ravens’ most recent match saw them beaten 17 – 10 by the Pittsburgh Steelers at the Acrisure Stadium.

As for Mike Vrabel’s Tennessee Titans, they began the 2023/24 regular season with a narrow 16 – 15 defeat against the New Orleans Saints before beating the Los Angeles Chargers 27 – 24 at the Nissan Stadium in what was their first victory of the new season. A 27 – 3 loss then came at the hands of the Cleveland Browns before losing 23 – 16 in their most recent NFL match, which was against the Indianapolis Colts.

Now, onto Sunday’s upcoming NFL London match between these two sides. The Baltimore Ravens and the Tennessee Titans have played against each other on 26 occasions, including their first-ever encounter on 15th September 1996, when the Titans were 29 – 13 winners. Neither side has a superior record, as they both have 13 wins in this fixture.

These two sides met most recently on 10th January 2021, which saw the Baltimore Ravens emerge as 20 – 13 winners at the Nissan Stadium.

This game will be the Titans’ first in London since 2018, and five members of the current team were with the Titans back then. Running back Derrick Henry, offensive lineman Corey Levin, safety Kevin Byard, outside linebacker Harold Landry III and practice squad defensive back Dane Cruikshank were all in that team that travelled to the UK five years ago.

Speaking of players who have been with their current team for a significant period of time, Quarterback Lamar Jackson is now in his sixth season with the Baltimore Ravens. Jackson has been in a rich vein of form in the 2023/24 season, with four touchdown passes and four touchdowns as of the time of writing.

Following their game in London, the Baltimore Ravens will take on the Detroit Lions on Sunday 22nd October. Meanwhile, the Titans are playing the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, 29th October.
