Beyoncé 2023 Renaissance Tour: What you need to know
The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will host five dates
Music Mega Star Beyoncé will soon be gracing stages at venues worldwide, and the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London will be the centre of the hype when the Renaissance World Tour comes to the UK. The world-class multi-purpose venue will be hosting five dates, which will be: Monday 29th May, Tuesday 30th May, Thursday 1st June, Saturday 3rd June and Sunday 4th June 2023.
The Renaissance World Tour Concert will incorporate some of her biggest hits, but the songs that will be taking centre stage will be from her latest album, ‘Renaissance’. The album was an instant success, debuting at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart, which is the 7th consecutive Beyoncé album to do so.
The one song from this album that took the world by storm is ‘Break My Soul’, which also debuted at number one, this time on the US Billboard Hot 100.
Iconic music magazine ‘Rolling Stone’ was full of superlatives for the Renaissance album, declaring it their album of the year for 2022.
Beyoncé began her illustrious career as a member of Destiny’s Child. Their debut album came in February 1998, with one of the songs (‘No, No, No’) being a smash hit. The song won the group three Soul Train Lady of Soul Awards for the Best R&B and soul album of the year, best R&B/Soul or Rap new artist and the best R&B/Soul Single.
After finishing her time with Destiny’s Child, Beyoncé released her debut solo album ‘Dangerously in Love’ in June 2003, debuting at number one on the US Billboard 200 and resulting in 11 million copies being sold worldwide.
Over the coming years, she has achieved fantastic success with 53 awards for her music, including winning her third Soul Train Music award for best song of the year for ‘Break My Soul’ in 2022.
Beyoncé’s 2023 Renaissance World Tour will be her first solo tour in over six years; her last tour was ‘On the Run’, which she did with Jay-Z in 2018.
Including the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the tour will be visiting other venues across the UK, including The Principality Stadium (17th May), BT Murrayfield (20th May) and the Stadium of Light (23rd May 2023).
The Renaissance World Tour will also see Beyoncé performing in cities across the globe, including Brussels, Paris, Lyon, Barcelona, Marseille, Cologne, Las Vegas and New Orleans.
The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is hosting more dates than any other venue in the UK. It is a world-class multi-purpose venue that hosts football, the NFL, and music events.
The famous London stadium began construction in 2015. It took four years to build, with it opening to the public on 3rd April 2019. It is the third-largest football stadium in England, with a capacity of 62,850.
