Global superstar Beyoncé is set to earn a reported $2.2 billion from her 2023 Renaissance World Tour, $600m more than Taylor Swift will earn in her latest tour
Beyoncé’s latest solo world tour, the much anticipated Renaissance Tour is set take place over the course of the coming weeks. There is set to be five dates, between 29th May and 4th June 2023, at the iconic Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in North London.
‘Queen Bey’ is one of the world’s most successful music artists having enjoyed a plethora of success over the course of a glittering career. She holds several Guinness World Records, including the most wins at the MTV Video Music Awards and the most BET Awards won by an individual with 30 and 32 respectively.
Beyoncé also holds the Guinness World Record for the most Grammy Awards won by a vocalist with 28.
Renaissance, her latest solo album, was released on 29th July 2022 and it has already seen great success. The album debuted at number one in the US Billboard 200 chart, which is the seventh consecutive occasion in which a Beyoncé solo album has achieved such a feat. It also earned 4 Grammys including Best Dance/Electronic Album.
Her most recent solo tour came in 2016 with her Formation World Tour, which came in the same year as one of her hit albums, Lemonade. The tour, which ran over 49 dates, very successful and made approximately $256 million at the box office.
Lasting over the course of 6 months, the tour attracted an audience of 2.24 million in total. The Formation tour also ranked 1st and 2nd in North America and worldwide respectively in Pollstar’s mid-year Top 100 Tours chart in 2016.
Fast forward to the present day, and Beyoncé will be looking to take the world by storm once more in 2023 with her Renaissance World Tour, and initial signs are looking good.
A recent report from the Daily Mail suggests that the global megastar could earn no less than $2.2 billion. This is made even more significant given that this would be an astonishing $600 million more than Taylor Swift is projected to earn in her ‘Eras Tour’.
It is thought that part of the reason for such a high estimate is the significant demand for tickets is driving up the potential earnings that will come from the Renaissance Tour, and with time running out demand is only going to increase.
