In 2016 the Hampton Court Palace Festival attracted one of the best line-ups in it’s history with multiple Grammy winners, platinum album sellers and knights of the realm all set to headline this truly unique music festival.
The ever popular Sir Tom Jones brought his back-catalogue of hits spanning five decades and multiple number ones. The Welsh legend has performed in some of the world’s biggest venues alongside some of the most famous artist of all-time.
Due to demand and popularity the Hampton Court Festival were forced to announce an additional date meaning Sir Tom performed on three nights (Wednesday 8th, Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th June 2016).
Jools Holland is one of the most talented and popular musicians Britain has ever produced and this Hampton Court Palace Festival regular and brought the house down again when he performs with his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra on Friday 10th June.
The King of Boogie Woogie received an OBE in 2003 for his services to music and his hit show ‘Later with…Jools Holland’ is currently in its 46th season, a truly remarkable achievement. Holland regularly appears alongside the world’s biggest artists and his show at Hampton Court Palace was a truly unmissable event.
Art Garfunkel is best known as one half of the legendary duo Simon & Garfunkel. As a solo performer Garfunkel has enjoyed a stellar career and is regarded as one of the finest songwriters of all-time. In 2003 he and Paul Simon accepted a Grammy’s Lifetime Achievement award. The chance to see one of the best artists in the history of music was a real thrill for all in attendance.
The final night of the Hampton Court Palace Festival 2016 was headlined by the unrivalled Katherine Jenkins. The Welsh superstar has enjoyed an unbelievable career bursting onto the scene in 2003.
In May 2016 Jenkins performed at the Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebration, before performing at the Hampton Court Festival where she will performed some of the best loved songs in British music including Land of Hope and Glory and Jerusalem.
Other headline acts for this glorious event included legendary jazz guitarist George Benson, Dutch pop star Caro Emerald, Van Morrison, US pop star Anastacia and a fanfare and fireworks celebration accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra.
