England then went on to win the third ODI by no less than 124 runs before going ahead and winning the final two One Day Internationals by 6 runs and 9 wickets respectively.

The most recent One Day International Series contested between these two nations was back in December 2023 – it was won 2 – 1 by the West Indies in the end. They won the first and third ODI both by a margin of 4 wickets, whilst England won the second ODI by 6 wickets in all.

Overall, England and the West Indies have met on a total of 105 occasions, and it is England who has the most wins, with 53 in total compared with 46 for the West Indies so far as of the time of writing.
