Unai Emery’s Aston Villa are set to welcome a Chelsea side led by their Italian Head Coach Enzo Maresca to Villa Park in the 2024/25 Premier League season. The West Midlands club will target a second consecutive top-four finish after qualifying for the UEFA Champions League thanks to a fourth-place finish last season (2023/24). A win here against the Blues would most certainly help their cause.

Following a 3 – 0 defeat against Fulham at Craven Cottage, Steven Gerrard was dismissed by the Villans in favour of former Arsenal, Villarreal, Sevilla, and PSG Head Coach Unai Emery, who was appointed by the West Midlands Club as Gerrard’s successor on 24th October 2022. They were in 16th place before his first game, which was a win against Manchester United.

Last season, the Blues finished in 6th place with 63 points under Pochettino’s stewardship until the Argentine was dismissed in favour of Maresca after the 2023/24 season concluded.
