Bournemouth, who are currently led by their Spanish Head Coach Andoni Iraola, are set to take on Fabian Hürzeler’s Brighton side in what is a local derby between two clubs on the South Coast of England in the 2025/26 Premier League season. This game is going to take place on the afternoon of Saturday, 13th September 2025. A victory for the Cherries would give them a much-welcome boost in their fight to secure European Football for the very first time in the club’s history via a top-seven finish in the league.

The Vitality Stadium Hospitality Dress Code
For hospitality at Bournemouth’s Vitality Stadium, the dress code is generally smart casual. That usually means:
-
Men: Collared shirts, smart trousers or chinos, optional blazer; avoid sportswear, ripped jeans, or trainers.
-
Women: Dresses, skirts, smart trousers or blouses; again, avoid casual sportswear.
-
General: No football jerseys, hoodies, or caps.
Hospitality areas aim for a polished but relaxed environment—so you don’t need a suit unless you want to go extra formal.
Andoni Iraola’s Bournemouth are going to go toe to toe with a Brighton side who are currently led by their German Head Coach Fabian Hürzeler, with this game set to be played between these two South Coast rivals during the 2025/26 Premier League season at the historic Vitality Stadium. The game will be played on the afternoon of Saturday, 13th September 2025.
A victory here for the Cherries would see Andoni Iraola’s team take home some vital three points that would also see them take what would a very important step closer to them realising their ambitions for the current campaign. They are looking to qualify for European Football for the first time this season, and a win against the Seagulls would most certainly aid their cause.
The current Head Coach of Bournemouth is, of course, the aforementioned Andoni Iraola, who has been in charge of the Cherries ever since his appointment was confirmed by the club back on Monday, 19th June 2023, with him replacing Gary O’Neil in the dugout at the Vitality Stadium. O’Neil’s departure had taken place a short time before the arrival of his Spanish counterpart.
The 2023/24 campaign was indeed his first full season in charge of the team, and it was a record breaking season for the Cherries, with them securing what was a record points tally for them in the top flight of English football with as many as 48 points from their 38 games, which was enough for a 12th place finish.
More history was then made last season, 2024/25, which was, of course, his second full campaign in charge of the South Coast club. They broke the club record for points in the English Top Flight once again, with a total of no less than 56 points being accumulated from their 38 games that had been played. They did finish 9th and failed to qualify for European Football for the first time by a margin of just 9 points in the end.
Amongst the standout results last term for Bournemouth was against Pep Guardiola and his Manchester City side at the Vitality Stadium in the Premier League back on Saturday 2nd November 2024. It was a 2 – 1 victory that was secured thanks to goals that came from the likes of Antoine Semenyo (9’) and Evanilson (64’) for the South Coast side. Meanwhile, it was Josko Gvardiol who would score the only goal of the game for the visiting Cityzens team on that day, late on in the second half (82’).
Moving on to Brighton, their current Head Coach Fabian Hürzeler has been in charge of the Seagulls ever since confirmation of his appointment to replace the outgoing Roberto De Zerbi was officially confirmed by the club back on Saturday, 15th June 2024.
In his first full season in charge (2024/25), his Seagulls side narrowly missed out on securing European Football thanks to what was an 8th place finish in the Premier League after they were able to accumulate a total of as many as 61 points from their 38 games. They missed out on European Football via a top seven finish by a very narrow margin, with a 4 point gap between themselves and Nottingham Forest in seventh place.
The 2025/26 Premier League campaign will be his second full season in charge of the South Coast side.
The last time that Bournemouth were victorious in the Premier League against Brighton was at the Vitality Stadium at the backend of the 2023/24 season on Sunday, 28th April 2024. It was to be a 3 – 0 victory for the Cherries on that day, thanks to the goals that came from the likes of Marcos Senesi (13’), Enes Unal (52’), and Justin Kluivert (87’).
Overall, Bournemouth and Brighton have met competitively in all competitions on no less than 118 occasions, and it is the Cherries who have so far had the most wins in this fixture, with 45, whilst they are narrowly ahead of their South Coast rivals Brighton, with the Seagulls having 44 victories themselves over the years in this particular fixture. There have also been 29 draws between these two sides so far, as of the time of writing.
