Bournemouth, who are currently led by their Spanish Head Coach Andoni Iraola, are going to be coming face to face with Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United side at the historic Vitality Stadium, which will be taking place during the 2025/26 Premier League season on the South Coast of England. The game itself is going to be played on the afternoon of Saturday, 21st March 2025. A victory here for the Cherries would see them take what would be a crucial step closer to them realising their ambitions for the current campaign, which are to successfully qualify for European Football for what would be the first time in this club’s incredible history.

The Vitality Stadium Hospitality Dress Code
For hospitality at Bournemouth’s Vitality Stadium, the dress code is generally smart casual. That usually means:
-
Men: Collared shirts, smart trousers or chinos, optional blazer; avoid sportswear, ripped jeans, or trainers.
-
Women: Dresses, skirts, smart trousers or blouses; again, avoid casual sportswear.
-
General: No football jerseys, hoodies, or caps.
Hospitality areas aim for a polished but relaxed environment—so you don’t need a suit unless you want to go extra formal.
Andoni Iraola’s Bournemouth are going to go toe to toe with a Manchester United side who are currently led by their Portuguese Head Coach Ruben Amorim at the historic Vitality Stadium during the 2025/26 Premier League season. This game is going to take place on the afternoon of Saturday, 21st March 2026.
If the Cherries are able to get all three points against the Red Devils, then the South Coast club will have made a statement to the rest of the division, but not only that, it would also take them a step closer to realising their ambitions for the current campaign, which are to successfully qualify for some European Football for what would actually be for the first time in the entire history of this historic club.
The current Head Coach of AFC Bournemouth is, of course, the aforementioned Andoni Iraola, with the Spaniard having been in charge ever since his appointment was confirmed by the club back on Monday 19th June 2023. He succeeded his English counterpart Gary O’Neil in the dugout at the historic Vitality Stadium. The 2025/26 campaign is going to be a third full season in charge of the Cherries.
The 2023/24 Premier League season got Iraola’s tenure underway, with it being his first full season in charge. It was a great season for the Cherries, who were able to secure what was a solid 12th place finish for themselves after they had earned a grand total of 48 points from their 38 games in the end, in the English Top Flight. This points total meant that they had broken a club record for them most points ever accumulated in the top division.
However, there was more history to be made in his second season in charge last season (2024/25), with his side ending up with what was a very respectable 9th place finish after they were able to accumulate a grand total of no less than 56 points, which was of course a new club record following the previous campaign, and they could break this record again by the conclusion of this current season (2025/26). Last term, they did indeed miss out on European Football despite having been battling for it all year – they were just 9 points adrift in the end, and they will be looking to take the next step this season.
Over the course of last season, Iraola’s Bournemouth were able to secure some excellent results, one of which being a statement 2 – 1 triumph over the reigning champions at that time, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City. This game took place at the Vitality Stadium back on Saturday 2nd November 2024, with the goals for the hosts coming from the likes of Antoine Semenyo (9’) and Evanilson (64’), meanwhile Josko Gvardiol was the only goal scorer for the visiting Cityzens side on that day, late on in the second half (82’).
Moving on to Manchester United, they have been under the stewardship of their current Head Coach Ruben Amorim ever since their Portuguese boss’ appointment was confirmed by the club back on Saturday 1st November 2024, before his tenure actually got underway officially just over a week later on Monday 11th November 2024.
The rest of the 2024/25 Premier League campaign saw him and his side end up having to settle for what was a 15th place finish with 42 points in total in the end from their 38 games, and they also lost the 2025 UEFA Europa League Final, being beaten 1 – 0 by their fellow Premier League outfit Spurs. The 2025/26 campaign will be his first full season in charge of the club.
The last time that Bournemouth came face to face with Manchester United in a competitive game in the Premier League was back on Sunday 27th April 2025 at home at the Vitality Stadium against United in what was a 1 – 1 draw against the Red Devils on the South Coast. Antoine Semenyo scored the opening goal of the game early in the first half (23’), only for Rasmus Højlund to score the equalising goal deep into stoppage time at the end of the second half (90+6’).
Bournemouth did manage to beat United 3 – 0 earlier on in that season, back on Sunday 22nd December 2024, with the Cherries scoring their goals in this game at the Theatre of Dreams thanks to the likes of Dean Huijsen (29’), Justin Kluivert (61’ – Penalty), and finally Antoine Semenyo just a couple of minutes later (63’).
Overall, Bournemouth and Manchester United have met competitively in all competitions on no less than 24 occasions, and it is United who do so far have the best record to date in this fixture overall, whilst the Cherries have 5 wins to their name against the Red Devils. There have also been as many as 5 draws between these two clubs to date, as of the time of writing.
