An intense rivalry is set to be renewed when Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs face West London rivals Chelsea at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the 2024/25 Premier League season. Victory in this game would hand Spurs a significant boost in the race for UEFA Champions League football.

The 2023/24 season was Ange Postecoglou’s first in charge of the Lilywhites since his appointment on 6th June 2023. His reign could not got off to a better start, with 7 wins and 2 draws from the first 9 games of his time at the club, yielding no less than 23 points. This meant that the Australian Head Coach had broken the record for the most points earned by a Premier League team in the opening nine games. These two London rivals have gone head to head on no less than 177 occasions competitively, and it is Chelsea who have more wins in this fixture with 79 compared to Tottenham’s total of 56 victories. There have been 42 draws in all between these two Premier League heavyweights to date.
