Wolves, who are currently led by their Portuguese Head Coach Vitor Pereira, are set to go head to head with Andoni Iraola’s Bournemouth side at the iconic and historic Molineux during the 2025/26 Premier League season. If the Old Gold can go ahead and get all three points against their South Coast counterparts, they would be able to take a step closer to realising their ambitions for the current campaign, which would be for a mid-table finish, although they could potentially push for a top-half finish come season’s end.

Vitor Pereira’s Wolves side are going to take on a Bournemouth side, who are currently led by their Spanish Head Coach Andoni Iraola, at the iconic and historic Molineux Stadium during the 2025/26 Premier League season.
Suppose Wolves get the better of their South Coast rivals in this game. In that case, they will most certainly be taking a step closer to realising their ambitions for the current season, which are to finish in a mid table position whilst potentially pushing for a top half finish by the time that this campaign comes to a close in May 2026.
It is the aforementioned Vitor Pereira who is, of course, the incumbent Head Coach of Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club, and he has been in this role ever since he was appointed to replace Gary O’Neil in the Molineux dugout back on Thursday 19th December 2024.
During his first months in charge towards the end of last season (2024/25), Pereira and his Wolves side managed to succeed in edging away from the bottom three, with them in the end able to secure a 16th place finish in the English Top Flight. Following the conclusion of all 38 games, they had accumulated a total of 42 points – this saw them avoid relegation from the Premier League by a margin of as many as 17 points overall.
The much anticipated 2025/26 Premier League campaign is going to be Vitor Pereira’s first full season in charge of the Old Gold.
There have been a number of great results achieved by Wolves so far under the stewardship of their current Head Coach, one of which came against Spurs late on last season. They were able to beat the Lilywhites 4 – 2 in a home game at Molineux, with the goals for the hosts coming from the likes of Rayan Ait-Nouri (2’), Jorgen Strand Larsen (64’), and Matheus Cunha (86’), whilst there was also an own goal from Tottenham defender Djed Spence just before the half time break (38’).
The goal scorers for the visitors, Spurs, were their forwards Mathys Tel (59’) and Richarlison (85’), who both scored their respective goals in the second half of the game.
Moving on to Bournemouth, their Spanish Head Coach Andoni Iraola has been in charge of the South Coast Club ever since he was appointed to replace his predecessor at the club, Gary O’Neil, back on Monday 19th June 2023.
His first full season in charge was the 2023/24 Premier League campaign, which saw them end up with a very respectable 12th place finish after they were able to accumulate a total of 48 points from their 38 games.  Then, in the following season, 2024/25, they were able to finish even higher in the table, securing a very respectable 9th place after earning a total of 56 points – a club record for the Cherries in the top flight of English Football.
The most recent match in the Premier League to take place between these two teams was back on Saturday 22nd February 2025 at the Vitality Stadium on the South Coast. In this game, it was to be a 1 – 0 victory away from home for Wolves, who were able to score their goal that turned out to be the winner through Brazilian international forward Matheus Cunha late on in the first half in that game (36’).
Overall, Wolves and Bournemouth have met competitively in all competitions on at least 22 occasions, and it is currently the Cherries who have the superior record, with 10 wins in this fixture compared to Wolves’ 8 victories against their South Coast rivals. There have also been as many as 4 draws between these two teams to date, as of the time of writing.
