Wolves, who are currently led by their Portuguese Head Coach Vitor Pereira, are set to take on Keith Andrews’ Brentford at the iconic and historic Molineux Stadium during the 2025/26 Premier League season.
If Pereira’s Wolves side can get the better of the Bees in this game, then they will be taking a step closer to realising their ambitions for this campaign, which is to finish mid table and to even push for a spot in the top half once all 38 games have been played in the English Top Flight in May 2026.
The incumbent Head Coach of Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club is, of course, the aforementioned Vitor Pereira, who has been in charge since he was appointed to replace Gary O’Neil in the Molineux hot seat on Thursday, 19th December 2024.
In his first few months in charge of the Old Gold at the end of the 2024/25 campaign in the Premier League, the Portuguese was tasked with guiding Wolves to safety in the top flight and to climb as far away from the relegation zone as possible. Pereira’s side managed to finish in 16th place with 42 points from their 38 matches – they ended up with a gap of as many as 17 points between them and the drop in the end.
The 2025/26 Premier League campaign will be Vitor Pereira’s first full season in charge of Wolves since he officially took over at the club back in late 2024.
During his time with Wolves so far, Pereira has led them to several impressive results, with one of the standout games being the one that saw them beat their North London counterparts, Spurs, 4–2 at Molineux. The home side were able to get their goals through the likes of Rayan Ait-Nouri (2’), Jorgen Strand Larsen (64’), and Matheus Cunha (86’), whilst there was also an own goal from Spurs defender Djed Spence towards the end of the first half (38’).
The players who scored the goals for Tottenham Hotspur were their forwards Mathys Tel (59’) and Richarlison (85’), in the second half.
Moving on to Brentford, their Irish Head Coach Keith Andrews has been in charge since he was appointed to succeed Thomas Frank back on Friday 27th June 2025, following the Dane’s departure for fellow London club Spurs days earlier.
The 2024/25 campaign for the Bees was under the stewardship of Frank, who managed to lead his team in what was a tight and tense battle with several other clubs for European Football. In the end, the London club unfortunately missed out on a top seven finish after they had to settle for a 10th place finish in the end after having accumulated a grand total of 56 points from their 38 games overall.
The most recent competitive game between these two clubs took place in the Premier League on the final day of the 2024/25 season, Sunday, 25th May 2025, at Molineux. It was a 1 – 1 draw in the end between these two teams, with the goals coming from the likes of Marshall Munetsi (75’) and Bryan Mbeumo (20’) respectively.
Overall, Wolves and Brentford have met competitively in all competitions on no less than 37 occasions, and it is the Old Gold who currently have the record for the most wins in this fixture with 17 compared with the Bees’ 14 victories against their Midlands counterparts so far. There have also been as many as 6 draws between these two clubs to date, as of the time of writing.
